For many years I have been frustrated that this organization was not getting the attention and recognition it deserves. A tremendous staff, unique and essential services, successful outcomes, and yet from the community at large the question, “What is CRI?”
As the new Executive Director, I am committed to continuing the important services delivered by this organization and ensuring that the community be aware of them.
Hence a reinvention. A new name and logo to better identify what we do. A new website and brochure to better describe our programs and services. A new emphasis on personal involvement. And a renewed commitment to stay relevant to and meet the needs of our surrounding communities.
With a dedicated staff and enthusiastic board involved in this process of reinvention, you are sure to see and hear much more from this organization.
Still, much of our effectiveness relies on the efforts of the community at large. Whether you have personal experience with a disability or simply have a desire to help others in need, there is a role for you at DSLC. Volunteers play an essential role in our organization, participating in day-to-day operations and all community events. Donors, of all levels, ensure that quality services continue to be delivered, regardless of governmental funding trends.
Friends spread the word, “If it involves disability, call DSLC”.
